# BYD and NVIDIA

BYD—the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles—is expanding its collaboration with NVIDIA from the [car to the cloud](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/self-driving-cars.md). In addition to building its next-generation EV fleets on [NVIDIA DRIVE](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/self-driving-cars/in-vehicle-computing/#hardware)®, BYD plans to use NVIDIA’s [AI infrastructure](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/self-driving-cars/infrastructure.md) for cloud-based AI development and training technologies. It will also tap into the NVIDIA Isaac™ and Omniverse™ platforms to develop tools and applications for virtual factory planning and retail configurators.
